Now I understand

Soon after purchasing my digital SLR, Allison began pestering me to take photographs of her – from viewing a waterfall, to poorly done senior-picture-like photographs.  I attributed it to her unique quirkiness, but after having gone to Mill Creek Park with her father, I now realize it was inherited.  While Allison has subdued her requests for photographs of herself on hikes, since I deny her most times, her father, Larry, has not been conditioned as such; he asked me to photograph he and himself with Allison at every site worth seeing. Éva at Sweetwater Creek

Éva came for her first big park walk at Sweetwater Creek State Park this weekend.  It was the happiest Allison and I had ever seen her… at least until Sunday, when we brought a new Dachshund home; Scarf.

For a couple of hours, Allison and I read and worked on an island in the river, and Éva had to swim across a small section – she was happy to obliged, but a bit cold afterwards.
